Parallel Kingdom Items, Resources and Ingredients Guide

Below is an article titled Parallel Kingdom Items, Resources and Ingredients Guide that we collected from various sources. All credit goes to its original writer.

Parallel Kingdom Items, Resources and Ingredients Guide by urDtrain

In the world you’ve entered you will encounter many things in your wanderings that may look familiar, strangely familiar, or just strange. Some of them may be useful, some helpful, and some downright deadly. Let’s take a look at the things that might help you on your journey, and leave the deadly stuff alone (at least as much as possible).

Items
Let’s take a look a the stuff you might find lying around. OK, well not really lying around; most of this stuff you’ll have to work and/or bleed a bit to obtain.

Most of the items here can be dumped for anywhere from 5-100 gold pieces (more for upgraded items), so if you ever find you are carrying too many items, you can either make a stockpile or dump them for cash.

Image Backpack
Probably THE MOST IMPORTANT ITEM (at least at first)!!! The more the merrier. You cannot have enough Backpacks. This is where you’ll store all the goodies you find in your adventures and each backpack has a limited capacity.

What to look for:
You start without any, but have a natural carrying capacity of 5.0 kg of stuff. Each backpack carries 4.0 kg (OK, less it’s own weight which is 1.0 kg: so a net gain of 3.0 kg per pack). You can (and hope to) get these from all the higher critters: Trolls, Troodonts, Dragons, and even Dusk Trees if they ate one of the above. Upgrades start at 100 gold, and increase your carrying capacity by 1.0 kg. Successive upgrades become more expensive (200, 400, etc…)

Hint for beginners:

  • Most players agree that upgrading each backpack at least once is well worth it. Not only will the first upgrade only cost 100 gold, it lets you carry 1kg more weight and it can be dumped for 100 extra gold – so it is like free gold storage. However, after the first upgrade it gets less cost effective.

Weight: 1.0 kg
Dump value: 100 Gold (increases with upgrade)

Image Dog Whistle
Your dog whistle is located in your inventory and can be used to call your dog for hunting and feeding. When you call your dog, it will stay with you for an hour, and the hour is chipped away by 6 minutes each time it is used for travel. Once the hour expires, your dog will return home and need some time to rest before you can call it again. As your dog ages, it will need longer and longer resting times.

Weight: none
Dump value: cannot dump

Image Redemption Ticket
When you post something in a Trading Post to sell, you will be given a redemption ticket that tells you what you are selling. If you change your mind within an hour of posting, you can use the redemption ticket to get your goods back at no charge. If you wait longer that that, you will have to buy them back yourself. Once your item sells, the redemption ticket will disappear.

Weight: none
Dump value: cannot dump

Image Troll Horn
This item is used to call Troll minions to come and fight with you. You can summon 5 trolls every 12 hours.

What to look for:
As soon as you earn the level 3 ability of Troll Lore, you will find a Troll Horn in your inventory.

Weight: 0.1 kg
Dump value: none

Image Research Points
These are used to unlock more powerful technology within the cities. To use them, you tap your Research Lab and choose which technology you wish to unlock.

What to look for:
To begin acquiring Research Points, you must build a Research Lab and then dedicate some Golems to go there and do research. Research points will accumulate just like Crude Oil and Crystal, except you don’t have to collect the Research Points; they automatically go into your inventory.

Weight: none
Dump value: none

Image City Ticket
City Tickets are given to new players when you first begin. They can be used once to visit the nearest city. After that, you will always be able to revisit that city from your Estates menu for a Roc Feathers cost.

What to look for:
Noobs

Weight: none
Dump value: none

Image City Key
If you are lucky enough to have one of these in your inventory, you will get FREE passage back to the city forever. Just visit your city through the Estates menu and you will not have to fork over any Roc Feathers.

What to look for:
City Keys are only given to the 3 founders of a city.

Weight: none
Dump value: none

Image Silver Scroll
These are probably the rarest item in the Parallel Kingdom. They are relics from the Great Scroll Hunt. They serve no function other than being a rare collectible.

Image Torch
Torches are required to enter any dungeon. They are used to light up the darkness. Torches take up your off hand, so you cannot equip a Shield while using a torch. Once you complete a dungeon, your torch will extinguish itself automatically, and you must exit.

What to look for:
To make a torch, you will need 20 Refined Oil and 1 Wood.

Weight: takes up your off hand
Dump value: cannot dump

Image Mourning Berries
Mourning Berries are a very handy item to have on hand. Ingesting a Berry will slowly replace your HP as you chew. A great way to heal before, during and after battle in the Parallel world. Always keep some on hand for your travels, because you’ll often find yourself in an area where no Mourning Trees are to be found.

What to look for:
Image
Your primary source for Mourning Berries is? You got it Mourning Trees!!! They are also dropped by various critters, OK well just Trolls. When harvesting berries, find fully grown Mourning Trees to pick your Berries. Trees will only have a single Berry, but rest assured they will grow back after a few hours (up to 4 per day from one tree), unless you are feeling mean and you chop it down. Every tree will have 1 Berry at a time; finding them on Trolls you kill is a lot more random. No upgrade for this item, and each Berry has but one use, so use it wisely.

Weight: 0.1 kg
Dump value: 10 Gold

Image Roc Feathers
Fly away fly away fly away home. Visit your friends, and tour your kingdom (once you’ve made one that is).

What to look for:
Image Image
You’ll start out with 100, but once you start visiting buildings you’ll want to have more. They can only be purchased from Trolls and Troll Huts (10 feathers for 100 gold, or 100 for 800 gold at Troll Huts). When you tap on a location you own, you’ll be given the option to use 2 feathers to transport to that location. When visiting friends who are far away, the cost can go as high as 100 feathers, depending on distance, so use them wisely!! You can only buy feathers when you are on good terms with the Trolls. This means you must not have attacked any in at least 12 hours for them to trust you. Be aware that Trolls like to protect Mourning Trees, so if you are after Wood, buy your feathers before you start chopping.

Weight: 0.01 kg
Dump value: 5 Gold

Image Roc Egg
Roc eggs are important to unlock a special skill. Give 3 roc eggs to a troll hut and you can unlock Troll Lore.

What to look for:
Roc eggs are found only in Roc nests when you kill the roc at the end of the nest.

Weight: 1.0 kg
Dump value: 10g

Image Troodont Scale
Troodont scales are important to unlock a special skill. Give 2 troodont scales to a troodont king and you can unlock Troodont Doctrine.

What to look for:
Troodont scales are found only in caverns when you kill the troodont king at the end of the cavern.

Weight: 0.2 kg
Dump value: 10g

Image Chi
Chi is important to unlock a special skill. When you have 3 chi, go to your inventory and select them and you can unlock Oiyoi Martial Arts.

What to look for:
Chi is found only in dojos when you complete them.

Weight: none
Dump value: 10g

Image Acorns
Acorns are important to unlock a special skill. Give 18 acorns to a Warden and you can unlock Warden Knowledge.

What to look for:
Acorns are randomly found only in Groves when you go through different doors.

Weight: 0.05 kg
Dump value: 10g

Image Gems
Gems can only be produced by Parallel Kingdom veterans. Once you are a level 25 player, you can continue to gain experience. When your exp bar is full, you can convert your exp into one Gem for the same cost as gaining a level. Gems can then be embedded into weapons and armor by highly skilled Weaponsmiths that have the Workshop addition. Gem encrusted items cost 25% more to upgrade than regular items, but they look distinct and can be upgraded to level 26. (For more info on cost of upgrades, see guide section here)

Gems can also be used to make Crowns and Tiaras to show off your illustrious wealth and stature.

Weight: 0.1 kg
Dump value: 10 Gold

Weapons and Armor

Image Shield
A shield is very helpful in protecting you during combat by absorbing part of an enemies blow so you’ll take less damage, and hopefully live to fight another day. Shields protect best against Dagger blows.

To craft this you need:
Image Image Image
Weapon Smithing Level 1, 1 Wood and 1 Iron

What to look for:
Image Image
Trolls, and Troodonts are the most common place to find these, but you’ll also get them from Larva, Dragon, and Dusk Trees. Claim your booty upon successful completion of a battle. Shields, like weapons must be Equipped to be used. When attacking a Troll, or Troodont (or another player for that matter) that shows the shield symbol, it will take you a little extra to kill. Carrying more than one can be a little heavy when you start out, so you can either dump for gold, or stash them for a rainy day. Shield upgrades start below 100 gold depending on % uses left. Each upgrade affords a little more protection, and gets progressively more expensive. Shields can be repaired with Halvar’s Resin.

Weight: 1.0 kg
Dump value: based on % uses left, increases with upgrade (%5 = 5 Gold, %5 +1 = 10 Gold)

Image Breastplate
Similar to a shield for protection. Best protection for the wary traveler against foes carrying Swords and Axes.

To craft this you need:
Image Image
Weapon Smithing Level 2 and 3 Iron

What to look for:
Image Image
As with shields, the intelligent critters, and sometimes Dragons, Larva, and Dusk Trees will carry Breastplates. Hit, duck and repeat to kill. They will also protect your enemy until you liberate them. As with most weapons and armor, the first upgrade is at or below 100 gold, increases its effectiveness, and costs more per level. Breastplates can be repaired.

Weight 1.0 kg
Dump value: as with shield, based on wear and upgrade level

Image Axe
Axes are a useful item for attacking. Found frequently, they are good to have on hand when taking out your rival’s structures.

To craft this you need:
Image Image Image
Weapon Smithing Level 2, 1 Wood, and 2 Iron

What to look for:
Image
Various critters will carry axes. Most often found on Trolls, but you will also find them dropped by Dusk Trees and Dragons. Any time you attack a critter wielding a weapon of any kind, you are in for taking more damage, so keep a Berry or two handy. As with all weapons, Axes have a finite lifetime before they wear out, expressed as a percentage but their life can be extended with Halvar’s Resin. Upgrade cost varies depending on the % uses left. Starts out below 100 gold, and gets progressively more expensive.

Weight: 1.0 kg
Dump value: based on wear and upgrade

Image Dagger
A less versatile version of a Sword, but good for foes wearing a Breastplate.

To craft this you need:
Image Image
Weapon Smithing Level 2 and 1 Iron

What to look for:
Image Image
Primarily carried by Trolls, but can be found on almost any critter that drops items like Dusk Trees. Spot them being wielded, or get them in drops from trees, and other thumbless creatures. Sometimes when they drop, they are easy to miss in the background, so keep your eyes peeled after big battles. Daggers act much like all other weapons – can upgrade and repair.

Weight: 1.0kg
Dump value: based on wear and upgrade

Image Spear
This half spear reportedly gives you better reach in combat, and I’ve heard they are good against Dragons.

To craft this you need:
Image Image Image
Weapon Smithing Level 1, 1 Wood, and 1 Iron

What to look for:
Image
Mostly on Troodonts, never on Trolls, and dropped by Larva, Dragons, and Dusk Trees. Try not to get killed and hope you win when attacking large groups. You’ll see which Troodonts are carrying. Anytime you engage Troodonts in groups, be aware that they won’t run away like Stags and Wolves once their numbers thin out. Spears can be upgraded and repaired.

Weight: 1.0 kg
Dump value: based on wear and upgrade

Image Sword
Probably the most common weapon in AOG, or at least the most commonly used by your fellow travelers.

To craft this you need:
Image Image
Weapon Smithing Level 1 and 3 Iron

What to look for:
Image
Trolls, etc…. basically anyone who doesn’t want to get messed with. Take fencing lessons!!! Just kidding, you’ll only get these through combat, or if you run across the scene of a massacre. Decent damage, so keep your Berries handy when attacking a foe which is wielding. Upgradeable and Repairable.

Weight 1.0 kg
Dump value: similar to other weapons

Image Sling
Sometimes you want to get that kill without approaching too closely, for instance a Carnivore Lily. They will trap you if you approach too close, so your answer is to attack from afar. You better put on some gloves and craft your very own Sling!

Requirements
To craft this you need to have Leatherworking Level 1. Image

Ingredients:
Image Image Image
This item is made with 1 Great Fern Sap, 4 Silk, and 3 Leather.

Weight: 1.0 kg
Dump value: based on wear and upgrade

Image Longbow
So you have used your sling, but come on a sling? That’s child’s play! Craft one of these babies and you’ll be shooting with the strength of Chuck Norris at his prime. These weapons are strongest against breastplates since they can pierce the smallest of spaces between the armor. But shooting a Larva or a Magnathere is about as effective as beating it with a foam sword.

Requirements
To craft this you need to have Weapon Smithing Level 1. Image
To wield such a weapon you need to have Archery Level 2. Image

Ingredients:
Image Image
This item is made with 2 Wood and 3 Silk.

Weight: 1.0 kg
Dump value: based on wear and upgrade

Image Crossbow
So your sling is pretty awesome, how does more deadly weapon sound to you? These monstrous weapons are strongest against shields, having enough power to pummel through the shield and cripple the foe hiding behind it. With a strong weapon comes the cost of knowing how to build it. Unfortunately, like its cousin the longbow, crossbows are weak against Larva and Magnatheres.

Requirements
To craft this you need to have Weapon Smithing Level 2. Image
To wield such a weapon you need to have Archery Level 1. Image

Ingredients:
Image Image Image
This item is made with 1 Wood, 1 Silk, and 2 Iron.

Weight: 1.0 kg
Dump value: based on wear and upgrade

Gloves and Boots
In Parallel Kingdom, you can use the Leatherworking abilities to craft your own boots and gloves. These give the person wearing them increased abilities. Each player can equip one pair of boots and one pair of gloves. These items can only be equipped or changed when in your House or Manor.

Image Boots
If you’re tired and bored of moving oh so slowly and your feet are sore from running around so much, you need a new pair of kicks. These boots will help increase your movement speed across the map.

Requirements
To craft this you need to have Leatherworking Level 1. Image

Ingredients:
This item is made with 1 Great Fern Sap, 4 Silk, 3 Leather.

Weight: 1.0 kg
Dump value: 150 Gold

Image Gloves
Doing so many tasks gives you such worn and blistered hands, sometimes its a relief to have some nice comfy gloves to wear. Crafting these fanciful gloves will decrease the time it takes to do tasks.

Requirements
To craft this you need to have Leatherworking Level 2. Image

Ingredients:
Image Image
This item is made with 4 Silk, and 3 Leather.

Weight: 1.0 kg
Dump value: 150 Gold

Image Midas Gloves
When these are equipped, you get an increased amount of Gold received when dumping items.

What to look for:
To craft Midas Gloves, you’ll need 4 Silk, 3 Leather, 250 Gold.
You also need Level 3 Leatherworking

Weight: 1.0kg
Dump value: 150g

Image Roc Boots
When these are equipped, traveling will cost fewer Roc Feathers and the mythical Roc bird will appear more often.

What to look for:
To craft Roc Boots, you’ll need 25 Roc Feathers, 4 Silk, 3 Leather.
You also need Level 3 Leatherworking

Weight: 1.0kg
Dump value: 150g

Craftables
There are some items you don’t just find lying around, but will need to work to have. These Items require Ingredients

Image Halvar’s Resin
Halvar’s Resin is used to repair your worn out items. This item is a must if you decide to upgrade your weapons and armor. And I mean that. Really. It will repair 10% on any repairable item you want to keep around.

Requirements
To craft this you need to have Alchemy Level 1. Image

Ingredients:
Image
Made from Larva Meat, and Great Fern Sap.

What to look for:
Image Image
Gather all the Ingredients, then find a quiet place and select “Make” from the menu. Each batch of ingredients will make 5 Halvar’s Resin. Balance your repairs between weapon and armor – just check your items list to see which is in greater need of repair. I wouldn’t waste on non-upgraded items, as you can always find more of those. Depending on your area, the Larva Meat will be your biggest challenge to find and acquire.

Weight: 0.1 kg
Dump value: 20 Gold

Image Rolly’s Serum
This stuff kicks butt, really. It’s great if you are feeling weak, and want to attack a large group, or an especially dangerous critter. Drink this Serum and your health will double (up to 200 max)!! It’s a heady feeling. Since you will automatically heal over time, this applies with Rolly’s as well. But BEWARE, it wears off eventually.

Requirements
To craft this you need to have Alchemy Level 1. Image

Ingredients:
Image
This item is made with Carnivore Lily Petals, Thistle, and Great Fern Sap. Of the three, the Petals are the hardest to come by.

What to look for:
Image Image Image
Gather and Make! Rolly’s Serum only lasts for about an hour, so if you are relying on it, be aware that it will run out. When it wears out, it wears out you. Your max health will drop after its use, and only time or death will reset you to 100%. Usually drop after one dose is 9 points in health. Taking multiples back to back, will make hunting very difficult when you run out. I’ve heard you can drop as far as 1/1 hp if you get carried away. This item is nice to have on hand, but use with caution.

Weight: 0.1 kg
Dump value 100 Gold

Image Net
Larva always run around, and wolves and stags will always run away when they’re weakened and alone. Your answer? The NET! Now feel free to net any monster and keep him from attacking or moving for a period of time.

Requirements
To craft this you need to have Leatherworking Level 2. Image

Ingredients:
Image Image Image
This item is made with 1 Stone, 8 Silk, and 1 Leather.

Weight: 0.5 kg
Dump value: 100 Gold

Image Trap
Oooh look! Watch the Larva run away, it’s headed straight for the – SNAP! That’s the sound you’ll love when you rig one of these suckers. If there’s a stag that you know will prance merrily away, make it prance right into your trap. You have learned the ways of iron and have discovered its deadly uses, so have fun trapping everything!

Requirements
To craft this you need to have Weapon Smithing Level 2. Image

Ingredients:
Image
This item is made with 1 Iron.

Weight: 1.0 kg
Dump value: 100 gold

Image Inspiration Tonic
This Tonic will allow you to earn more pages for every monster slayed. The effects last for one hour.

Requirements
To craft this you need to have Alchemy Level 3. Image

What to look for:
To craft some Inspiration Tonic, you’ll need 1 Lichen, 1 Gyront Shell, 5 Oleander Flowers, 3 Fern Sap.

Weight: 0.1kg
Dump value: 200g

Image Anti-poison
Drink this to protect yourself from the effects of Dusk Trees and Poison for 1 hour.

Requirements
To craft this you need to have Alchemy Level 2. Image

What to look for:
To craft some Anti-poison, you’ll need 1 Violet Heart, 3 Oleander Flowers, 2 Fern Sap.

Weight: 0.1kg
Dump value: 150g

Image Keldor’s Rage
Drink this to get your adrenaline pumping and make your attacks more powerful. This potion also allows you to travel while aggressive. The effects last as long as you stay aggressive, so be sure to keep those angry juices flowing. Be warned, you will lose some health when you take a drink.

Requirements
To craft this you need to have Alchemy Level 2. Image

What to look for:
To craft some Keldor’s Rage, you’ll need 1 Dark Essence, 3 Sulfur, 2 Fern Sap.

Weight: 0.1kg
Dump value: 150g

Image Fire Bomb

What to look for:
To craft a batch of 5 Fire Bombs, you’ll need 1 Refined Oil, 5 Sulfur, 3 Fern Sap.

Weight: 0.1kg
Dump value: 200g

Special Metals
With the Metallurgy skill, you are able to craft special metals which can be infused into weapons and armor. Each of these special metals will give a different effect depending on if it is used in a weapon or an armor. Items infused with special metals cost 25% more to upgrade than regular items. (For more info on cost of upgrades, see guide section here)

Note: When infusing your existing weapons with a special metal, the change is permanent. The process cannot be reversed or changed to a different special metal. Don’t do this unless you are absolutely positive it is the special metal you want.

Image Crowns and Tiaras Image
Crowns and Tiaras are symbols of dedication, power, and excess, just like the kings of old. They can be created using Gems. When you have at least one Gem, go to your inventory and tap the Gem. This will bring up the option to make a Crown or a Tiara.

The size of your Crown/Tiara depends on how many Gems are used in its creation. There are 3 different sizes:

Image
Image
1-4 Gems = Small

Image
Image
5-19 Gems = Medium

Image
Image
20+ = Large

*Note: Crowns and Tiaras cannot be undone and Gems used in the creation of Crowns and Tiaras cannot be used anywhere else.

Resources
These items you will acquire in various ways. They are generally used alone or in combination to create things that you can use to help you in your progress through the Parallel world, grow your empire, etc…

Image Silk
Silk is a very vital ingredient in making different items and equipment. You need silk to make Boots, as well as Gloves. You also need silk to make a Net, which can be used easily to stop your enemy in its tracks. It’s a smart idea to carry extra silk on you in case your boots or gloves run out of energy and break.

What to look for:
Image
Your source for silk? Well none other that your good ol’ Spiders. Spiders just love producing silk and use it for just about everything. After breaking out of a spider trap, look around for that silk lying on the ground. If you pick that up and still want more, go after the spider itself and he will drop a few silks upon dying.

Weight: 0.05 kg
Dump value: 5 Gold

Image Stone
Hunh?? you talking to me?? Ok, so Stone doesn’t seem that interesting (once you turn 6 at least – ‘hey ma! loookieee! rock!). But they are an important part of your progress through the world. Want to show people where you’ve been? Want to build a nice house on a hill overlooking your empire? Well, you’ll need to start with a solid foundation. So, guess what you’ll need…..

What to look for:
Image
You’ll need to mine it from a Stone Cave (tap the Cave and select Mine from the options). You think that Cave is empty? You can Take Control of the Cave so only you will have access to the Stone inside. Just realize that the original tenants will probably want back in. You can Mine the same Cave for more Stone, you’ll just need to wait ~6 hours before you try again.

Weight: 0.1 kg each
Dump value: 30 Gold

Image Wood
Comes from Trees. Wood is a necessary item for building many structures. You’ll want to stockpile or acquire much wood as you travel and build.

What to look for:
Image Image Image
Any of the larger plants will yield wood when chopped. Mourning Tree, Dusk Tree, and Great Fern. Just move next to a Tree and select Chop from the menu. Attacking Mourning Trees as stated above regarding Berries, will sometimes draw a Troll or two to protect it. Dusk Trees release toxic spores that take away your health. The other things to consider are that Mourning Trees are beneficial to your health, and Great Fern Trees provide useful sap, so if you cut them down, you’ll no longer receive these benefits. However, trees are renewable! They can regenerate on their own, or in the case of Mourning Trees you can plant a Berry. So don’t get too worried if you went and chopped down everything in sight.

Weight: 0.1 kg
Dump value: 30 Gold

Image Leather
Leather is useful for building Flags, which you will build to mark your territory.

What to look for:
Image Image Image
Leather is currently found on Stags, Dire Wolves, and Boars. Hunt groups of Stags, they tend to flee from an attack, so be smart which direction you approach from to ensure you will get as many as possible without them running away out of sight. Wolves attack in packs, so be ready with Berries. Critters reappear after ~24 hours, so you will only see them once a day unless you do a lot of traveling. From my experience about 30% of the time, a Stag or other critter will ‘jump out of his skin’ for you.

Weight: 0.1 kg
Dump value: 30 Gold

Image Iron Ore
Iron ore is taken straight from the Iron Cave, and is one step away from getting pure Iron.

What to look for:
You can mine Iron ore from a nearby Iron Cave. Iron Ore isn’t all that useful unless you smelt it into Iron. To do this, tap the Iron Ore in your Items list and select “Smelt.” You can mine from the same Iron Cave for more Iron Ore every 6 hours.

Weight: 0.1 kg each
Dump value: 10 Gold

Image Iron Slag
Iron Slag means you failed at creating Iron from your Ore, so try again my friend.

What to look for:
Upon smelting iron ore, you may end up withIron Slag. Unfortunately you cannot use Iron Slag at all. If you remember Super Smash Bros., you might recall that when you got a Pokeball and a Goldeen came out you would scream how useless it is. Well Iron Slag is the Goldeen. You can only dump it, so that’s your best plan.

Weight: 0.1 kg each
Dump value: 30 Gold

Image Iron
Iron is one of the most essential resources to have; it is used to craft all sorts of weapons and gadgets. Having a lot is a good idea, as it is not as easy to get as it seems.

What to look for:
You’ll need to mine Iron Ore from a nearby Iron Cave. Once you have mined enough Iron Ore to your liking, you will have to Smelt it to try to get Iron. Do this by going to your inventory and selecting the Iron Ore and select Smelt. Another thing you should know is that smelting requires fire, and fire requires wood, so put two and two together and you’ll figure out that you need one Wood to smelt your Iron Ore. If you are unfortunate, you will end up with useless Iron Slag which can be dumped for 30 gold. You can mine from the same Iron Cave for more Iron Ore every 6 hours.

Weight: 0.1 kg each
Dump value: 30 Gold

Image Crystal
Crystal is an important resource found near cities. They are necessary to build Seige Factories, Crystal Huts, and Garrison Posts.

Ingredients
This is the stuff you will need to do Alchemy in PK. There are potions and serums that you can create that will help you fix your tired old sword, or hype you up to attack that behemoth the Magnathere.

Image Great Fern Sap
This sap is harvested from Great Fern Trees. It is necessary for Making many of the valuable things in the Parallel world. Never pass up the opportunity to tap some in your travels.

What to look for:
Great Ferns occur as randomly as most other trees. I’ve usually seen them in clumps of 2 and up to 5. Tap on tree, and select “Harvest Great Fern Sap” on the menu. Sap is necessary for most craftable items. No bad results from getting Sap from Ferns, but they need to regenerate, so you can only get one cup at a time. Check back to the same Fern again and again for Sap, it just takes roughly 6 hours to generate more.

Sometimes you’ll find that a Dusk Tree has beaten you to the punch, so keep your eyes peeled.

The Rolly’s Serum you produce with this ingredient has its own benefits and drawbacks. These plants are fairly rare, so don’t pass one by without taking advantage of it.

Purchased from Merchant

Image Flag Dye
Dyes will permanently change the color of all your flags as well as your other buildings.

Image Statue
Statues can be placed anywhere on territory you control. Their main use is to show off your Trophy Hats to players that pass by. To do this, go into your Items list and tap the Hat that you want to showcase. As long as you have a Statue in your inventory, you will see the option to “Erect Statue.” If you take down your statue, it will go back into your inventory so you can put it back up somewhere else.

Image Faces
Faces are purchased from the Traveling Merchants. Faces are used once and they permanently change the look of your avatar. There are currently a total of 6 different Faces for males and females. Once you have one in your inventory, just tap it and select “Change Face.”

Image Sign
Signs can be placed anywhere on territory you control. When posting a sign, you will write a custom message. Then, anyone else that comes across your Sign will be able to tap it and read your message. To post a Sign, just tap the Sign in your inventory, write your message and post it (Costs 1 Wood). If your sign is destroyed or taken down, it will go back into your inventory so you can post it somewhere else.

Image Purse
Purses will keep a certain amount of your gold safe when you die. They can be bought from Merchants for 100 Food. They can also be upgraded to hold more gold (75 Food per upgrade).

Amount of gold protected:
2500 (+0)
5000 (+1)
7500 (+2)
10000 (+3)
12500 (+4)
15000 (+5)
17500 (+6)
20000 (max cap +7)

Note: these values refer to the amount of gold that you might lose when you die, and not your total amount of gold. For example, if you die with a +7 purse and 200000 gold, you will not lose the 20000 gold that you would have lost without the purse. If you hold multiple purses, only the highest level purse will count for protection against loss.

Image Name Change Scroll
A Name Change Scroll will allow you to change your player name permanently. After you change your name, your previous name will still be mentioned on your profile along with your new name.

Trophy Hats
Trophy Hats can be put on and taken off at will from your inventory screen. When you have one on, other players will see it and recognize your achievements. Also, if you have a Statue in your inventory, you can erect the statue and place the hat on top so all the passerby can see it and give tribute.

What to look for:
Trophy Hats are hard to earn. To get one, you must finish at the top of the list in one of the weekly ranking categories. Occasionally there are other ways to earn one, but these are even more rare.

As shown below, each hat has some kind of distinct feature that is shown if the hat is less than a week old. After it is a week old and a new hat has been issued, it will lost that distinction, but you will always have that hat to flaunt.
