Gadgeteer, what’s that?
The Gadgeteer excels in the use of rifles and improves their efficiency, due to his penchant for tinkering, often in very surprising ways. A Gadgeteer fights his enemies with the aid of technology, for he is capable of constructing and hurling traps, bombs, and drones, although lying in ambush is not uncommon.
As you may already have noticed, Mythos gives you loads of possibilities for taking monsters down a peg or two. To make sure you get a taste of all of them, I really suggest you take a look at the Gadgeteer and his impressive skill trees. Go Go Gadget Marksman!
Marksmen have perfected the art of weaponry. Thanks to their powerful magic spells, which they can use to enchant their weapons, even large groups of foes are not safe from these talented fighters.
If you decide to become a Gadgeteer-Marksman, then you’ll belong to an elite group of warriors who can enchant weapons and have gunpowder coursing through their veins.
Fire at will! As you’re probably used to by now, we’ll start by taking a look at the skill system of the Gadgeteer:
- Every time you level-up, you will receive two skill points, which you can distribute as you see fit
- Rectangular skill symbols represent active skills
- Circular skill symbols represent passive skills
- Some skills can be compounded such as Piercing Barrage (first row, first skill). The consecutive skill directly underneath is Glancing Barrage. To use Glancing Barrage, you must first have already invested at least one skill point in Piercing Barrage . Additionally, your skill tier must be at least seven!
- Skill tiers (right-hand green bar): In order to activate the lower-down skills, you must first have invested skill points there
- All skill points invested in skill tiers count towards all three Pyromancer skill trees! For example, if you invest 13 skill points in your skill tiers, the Grenadier and Tinkerer skill trees will also be raised.

Critical Modifications – [Consecutive Skill]
Requires: “Tinker” and at least 13 skill tiers
Further investigation reveals an opportunity for improvement. Modifications improve the chance of critical strikes as well as the firing rate.
Maximum possible skill points: 8
Effect Rank 1:
- 1% improved chance of a critical strike
- 1% higher firing rate
Effect Rank 8:
- 8 % improved chance of a critical strike
- 15% higher firing rate

Piercing Barrage
Your bullets are fitted with drill bits so that they pierce through the target to strike multiple opponents.
Maximum possible skill points: 6

- 2 bullets released per volley

- 18% damage bonus per shot
- 7 bullets released per volley
- Mana cost: 7

Glancing Barrage - [Consecutive Skill]
Requires: “Piercing Barrage” and at least 7 skill tiers
Further modifications allow bullets from Piercing Barrage to ricochet off of walls and barriers. The bullets can also poison opponents.
Maximum possible skill points: 6
Effect Rank 1:
- 3% chance of Poison
- 1% damage bonus to Piercing Barrage
- 1 ricochet
- +1 to range
- +1 mana cost to Piercing Barrage
Effect Rank 6:
- 8% chance of Poison
- 11% damage bonus to Piercing Barrage

Requires: “Piercing Barrage” and at least 21 skill tiers
On impact, Piercing Barrage will shatter into blindingly fast fragments of shrapnel.

- 1% chance of shrapnel
- 2 fragments
- 5% of Piercing Barrage damage per fragment
- 3% more damage to Piercing Barrage
Effect Rank 8:
- 8% chance of shrapnel
